It’s A Thing 9.14.18

  1. After 7+ years of living in LA, I finally did the wisdom tree hike. PS – it’s one of Laura’s  favoritesimg_0022
  2. I had one of my favorite Home Chef meals this past week, the Pretzel Crusted Pork Chop with Brussels Sprouts. It was so good and really easy to make! I can’t wait to make it again on my own. If you haven’t tried Home Chef before, use my link for $30 off your first box!
  3. I have 6 hours left to listen to in the final book of The Crazy Rich Asian’s trilogy. I haven’t seen the blockbuster yet, so very excited to finally watch it once I am finished with the series. Hopefully the squeal rumors are true!
  4. I am in desperate need of a haircut, very intrigued by this ponytail method for cutting your own hair in layers, is it too good to be true? I’d love to save the money and time by doing it myself.
  5. Did you know you can earn Delta miles for every dollar you spend with Lyft? Sign up here.
  1. 2018-09-09 10.45.08Was both overjoyed and so sad to read about Mrs. Frugalwoods’ diagnosis of postpartum depression. For sure something that is not talked about enough and is still stigmatized, I was glad to see her using her platform to spread the word that this is normal and it is ok to need help.
  2. Really enjoyed Vice’s ‘Raised Without Gender‘ piece.
  3. As a lover of lists, I loved reading Carly’s ‘30 Before 30‘ list she’s hoping to tackle. I, too, am looking down the barrel of that milestone, and have definitely found myself pondering what the next decade will bring.
  4. I’m a big fan of Rockstar Finance’s ‘Money Match-Up’ series and this week did not disappoint: Should You Pay for Your Kids’ College Education? Thoughts, comments, which side do you come in on??

  1. Stella – that hike sounds amazing!! Dang it I miss me some SoCal. I think next year I may head back to LA or San Diego to run a race there. And obviously I need to save room for a hike!

Laura- I love love love lists. I need to make a 35 before 35 list. LOL I will have to remember that for next year too.
