  1. I am so sad that Citi credit cards are ending their Citi Price Rewind benefit. I’ve loved using this shopping tool during my 8+ years as a cardholder. The last day to submit claims is this Sunday, so I am rushing to complete my baby registry purchases to be sure we are ready for our little one in November!

Keeping active, even when it’s hot out!
  2. I’ve recently found a great new-to-me personal finance podcast that I am so excited to binge on my commute. As you all know, I am a huge fan of Money Peach, but he’s been taking a break from podcasting so I am thrilled to have found something new to inspire me during my drives.
  3. Thrilled to have found this comprehensive site of user manuals that you can access online.
  4. It’s finally getting a bit cooler in LA, we have been stuck in a heatwave for the last few weeks and I am enjoying the break. I’m finally able to break out a few of Laura’s hand-me-down maternity items that I have not been able to wear yet due to the weather. I’ve also been loving wearing lots of open sweaters to switch things up and make my outfits feel and look different from day to day. I am very excited to get back to my old wardrobe. Our little munchkin could be here anytime in the next 4 – 8 weeks!

  1. My husband took his first business trip post-baby this week which meant it was me, the baby, the dog, and the bunnies left to fend for ourselves! Luckily this was still my last week of maternity leave, so there was a lot to do but a lot of time to get it all done in… I’m a bit fearful for his first trip when I also have to get myself ready and into an office for work on time!2019-09-18 16.29.55
  2. On my to do list is to make a ‘Family Emergency Binder’ with all our important documents, contacts, etc. for reference. I appreciated Millennial Money Man’s rundown of what to include (and to DIY it!), as I hadn’t thought of some of the things that would be very useful.
  3. Putting this Art of Manliness article in so I can look back on it when I find myself (routinely) asking my husband if a certain project requires nails or screws. Add it to the list of things I can’t remember and always have to ask/Google for.
  4. Quick read on some great benefits of reading. I have blown past my Goodreads goal of 50 books for the year (I’m already at 54!!) and really enjoyed the “mini vacation” that reading provided during my maternity leave. Being in charge of keeping a tiny human alive is no joke, but many a book and story brought levity and some beneficial brain context switching for me over the last few months.
