It’s A Thing 2.16.20

  1. Colby had his first babysitters last weekend while my husband and I worked a couple of side hustle gigs and took a much needed sushi date night. img_3142My sisters were in town visiting and the successfully put him to sleep 4 nights in a row! To help me get through the long nights away, I broke down and bought the expensive Elvie Breast Pump and it was a huge game changer – I love being able to pump more easily while on the go!
  2. I love my priority pass membership that comes with my credit card and have used it countless times to visit lounges while traveling both domestically and internationally. I really appreciated One Mile at a Time’s guide for restaurants that you can go to with the pass. It’s a great perk!
  3. We often post new recipes that we’ve tried here in “It’s a Thing” – this week I want to switch it up by asking for recommendations! I made oatmeal blueberry muffins last weekend and really didn’t care for the recipe. Anyone have a good one for me to try?! Drop us the link in the comments!
  4. Very excited to have found a fun new podcast to listen to, and what a perfect day for it – Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

  1. Bookmarking this baby painting project for birthday or holiday gifts this year. Grabbed the idea from Molly Yeh who has very much outdone herself on her annual Valentine’s Day cake!2020-02-09 13.14.15-1
  2. I find Instagram’s ad targeting to be pretty spot on lately. They served me an ad for Caraway cookware that I am now lusting after. That or Food52’s set is probably soon in our future to replace our old set.
  3. I’m toying with the idea of trying ClassPass out. I’ve never had a membership so I think I can get a pretty good introductory deal. It’s definitely interesting trying to figure out a workout routine with a baby in the mix… I love the idea of being able to stop into many different studios to try out new and different classes. Anyone a ClassPass member and have tips and/or suggestions for classes to try in the Los Angeles area?
  4. It’s tax season! …is that not an exciting thing? I’ve found myself referring back to my Personal Capital account (as well as these blog posts on expense tracking and tips to use the platform) many times lately.
