  1. I’m incredibly proud of my sister and her friend for making so many masks for health care workersScreen Shot 2020-04-10 at 3.32.08 PM (and the general public, stay safe everyone!).
  2. After listening to today’s episode of NPR’s Up First Podcast and hearing about the struggles with both farmers and people in need to secure food, my husband and I decided to donate to the LA Food Bank. We’ve been trying to decide how we wanted to help and this felt like a great way to support our local community as well as California in general.
  3. I was very inspired by this cool project to make old breast pumps into ventilators. I always wondered if there would be a good way to recycle my pump after I am finished with it and love this innovative way to help.
  4. I revisited an old favorite workout video this week. It’s quick and effective and I love that they have found the perfect balance of working you right up until you are about to burn out but you don’t get so sweaty that you have to shower after.

  1. My stalling on reading turned a corner this week and I finished two of the books I mentioned last week as well as ‘Such A Fun Age‘ — which I read over a binge-worthy 10 hours. Highly recommend.2020-04-08 19.31.16
  2. I’ve been heavy into newsletters as of late, inspired by Claire and Erica’s podcast episode on them, and the deep dive that Grace and Becca dedicated during this episode of Bad on Paper. Favorites so far include Claire and Erica’s, as well as Ann Friedman’s, Girls’ Night In, and The Broadsheet.
  3. My husband and I have been watching an episode of Grand Designs most nights and it is such a nice escape from the current world. I’ve always loved a good design/home makeover show, and this one really hits it out of the park.
  4. We celebrated Passover on Wednesday with a big family Zoom session, followed by a “baby’s seder” on Zoom yesterday with my sister-in-law’s kids, and are hosting a friends Zoom seder tonight! So many video hangouts! Baby Ernie wore this bib for all of them which I’m getting a kick out of and we improvised a seder plate out of a chip-and-dip bowl we were gifted for our wedding (it’s handcrafted, but similar to this one) — it worked surprisingly well!
