  1. My mom made this beautiful appetizer tray for a socially distanced gathering so each guest could grab their individual cup & take it back to their spot. I love the concept and can’t wait to try out more recipes.img_5565
  2. I enjoyed this article from OMAAT about how to fly on a private jet and take advantage of the return legs from other people’s journey’s to get do it “affordably”. Maybe one day I’ll be able to give it a try!
  3. I’ve been wanting to watch this documentary on the FIRE movement for ages and finally did it last week. I enjoyed a lot of aspects of the movie but wished it had focused more on the movement as a whole and the math behind how it works rather than just one family’s journey. For now, I’ll have to stick to podcast episodes to get my FIRE education.
  4. Just bought this baby backpack carrier per Laura’s recommendation and it is a total game changer! I love being able to see my feet while hiking and it’s nice to have Colby’s weight on my back.

  1. I learned about the Jambo books subscription club from the First Name Basis podcast and I’m super psyched to gift it to a few different friends who have babies due soon! I’ve really loved Ernie being gifted books throughout his life so far, and I love this way to diversify a young kid’s bookshelf from the get go.2020-08-24 10.38.25
  2. Feeling very seen by this article entitled “Your ‘Surge Capacity’ Is Depleted — It’s Why You Feel Awful.” I’m definitely feeling a bit down in this current stage of pandemic/quaran-times and it’s nice to have resources that remind me it’s very normal to be feeling this way.
  3. Have really enjoyed following along with Brittani’s handmade wedding dress and groom suit journey so far (she’s getting married in November!). My mother sewed my wedding dress and I love that it seems to be becoming more of a trend to have something 100% unique, but that also won’t break the bank.
  4. I already had a pack of these photo magnet holders and just ordered another. We’ve covered the lower half of our fridge and our stand alone freezer with photos of family members and close friends for Ernie to study. With so little social interaction with other humans I’m trying to come up with lots of different ways to still keep our people in heavy visual rotation for him.
