100 Foods by Age 1

As Colby approaches his half birthday (can’t believe he’ll be 18 months old!), we are also approaching the end of our first year of solid food.

It’s been interesting to watch his food journey and see which foods have stayed favorites throughout (yogurt, berries, rice, pasta, curry) and those that have gone in and out of favoritism (sardines, avocado, tomatoes). I loved the book Hungry Monkey (recommended to me by Laura, of course!), which inspired me along the way as it really encourages parents to feed their kids the same things they eat.

Early into our food journey, I decided I wanted to set a goal to keep myself inspired to keep trying new things. I found a few lists of 100 foods to try by age one and decided to give it a go. I created my own list as we tried new things and used a simple google doc to track it. I had a lot of fun picking out new things to try each time I went to the store.
