  1. It’s been a lot harder to find time for Laura and I to spend together and even more rare that we get together with the babies in tow! img_6028_original
  2. We are having a very rainy few days in LA this week. I loved this delicious Sausage Potato Kale soup recipe, it was perfect for a cold evening at home.
  3. I love my new pair of slippers, they are so cozy and perfect for rainy weather + maternity leave.
  4. I got a lot out of this great article from the Millionaire Educator about how to maximize your tax-advantaged accounts to pay as little as possible in taxes each year. I learned so much from his analysis and am excited to implement his strategies.
  5. I love the new (washable!) bags from Rothy’s. Hoping to maximize the referral program to get one for a discounted rate 🙂

  1. Very impressed by this designer’s project aimed at helping homeless people by providing upcycled coats made from tent fabric that also stands in as a backpack, sleeping bag, and travel stool.2020-03-08 18.07.22
  2. My husband and I recently decided to cancel our upcoming trip to Europe because of the Coronavirus situation here and abroad. It was not an easy decision, but I feel better about keeping my family in one, known location, than braving the unknown. I appreciated this article from TFD on ‘An Easy Checklist For Deciding If You Should Cancel Your Plans Because of Coronavirus.’
  3. Bookmarked this recipe for black bean and plantain polenta snacks. Baby Ernie is exploring more and more foods lately and I think this will be right up his alley.
  4. We have a “post about childcare” on our list of 30 blog posts we want to write in 2020, and I was glad to see we’re not the only ones who want to be talking about that more. Mrs. Frugalwoods gave a great rundown on options, limitations, and implications in her post on the complicated, expensive, controversial, and expensive thing that is childcare.
  5. Based on this excerpt from Marisa Meltzer’s “This Is Big,” I cannot wait to read the rest of the book!
